The Delicious Fruits & Other Colors in hot summer

The summer is consisted of Boishakh and Jaisthya and the first season of the Bengali calendar. Although, it’s the hottest season with dust storm and Kal Boishakhi (summer storm), but different colored flowers and various types of delicious fruits are available in this season. The taste of ripe fruits, such as mango, jackfruit, litchi, berries is unbelievable, unbeaten and seamless.

The summer is a dry season as well and most of the rivers, ponds and canals are without water. The Pohela Boishakh is biggest and most celebrated event of the country. It’s observed on the first day of Boishakh along with colorful dresses, mascots and processions all over the country.


Rainy Season with Full of Water

Bangladesh is the latest Delta of the world the greatest flow of rivers to the sea. For this reason, rainy season has its own importance and significance. Although, sometimes the season is suffered due to heavy rain and floods, but the natural beauties of the rainy season are amazing.

The sounds of rain drops give the feeling of classical music and boat traveling in this season provides you totally different types of outlook. Most of the poets and writer is inspired by the rainy season to write their poetries and songs.

Early-autumn

The season of late autumn, which is consisted with the months of September and October and it presents a cool wind blow with blue skies and the land becomes the big bright green colored carpet. There are many kinds of flowers bloom in this season and the rice are ripe with begins the harvest. The green vegetables are jaded from emerald and the white Siberian cranes, ducks and egrets are seen at this time.

Late-autumn

The late-autumn rolls from mid-October to December with the drops of the dew is starting to fall down on the leaves of trees and grasses. The paddy is ripened and cut in this season. After the busy harvesting, the celebration of Nabanna (Foods with new rice) gets on. The water lily, jasmine, bougainvillea, rose and many other flowers bloom in this season as well.

The winter

The season of winter starts from the mid of November and lasts up to February with less humid and arid air. It also is known as dry and cool season that requires warm clothes in the evening and morning. Sometimes the sun is completely out of sight for the day long. The weather of the winter is gloomy along with shorter days and longer nights.

The winter is the season to play various kinds of sports, such as tennis, cricket, and golf etc. The country people starts to visit different places to pass their holidays and foreign tourists come to visit, enjoy the Bangladesh tourist attractions and famous tourist spots of Bangladesh. The season presents many kinds of pitha (locally made cakes) and juice of date along with so many foreign birds as well.

Spring

The spring season starts from mid-December and lasts up to February with golden light days, blooming of flowers, such as shimul, krishnochura and palash of flame-color and many more. The first day of the spring season is the first of Bengali month Falgun and it’s beginning of Bashonto Utshob (the spring festival) with the famous song “Melay jai re… (Let’s go to a fair…). The fest is celebrated by the young ladies and young men, respectively with yellow sharies of the red colored border and yellow colored Punjabis and pajamas.

Spring is the season of various celebrations, parties, dinners and weddings. On the other hand, many kinds of fairs, exhibitions and dramas & poetries are staged and enjoyed by the people. The Hindu community celebrates many kinds of pujas, such as Durga puja. Almost all season has some disadvantages, but only this season has nothing harmful.

So, the vibrant hues and different shades that come from 6 seasons in Bangladesh contain all of the fairs, events and celebrations. All of them are observed and celebrated around the year; as a result Bangladesh is called the country of 13 festivals in 12 months!
